This page explains what data wearecited.com collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain English rather than legalese.
wearecited.com ("Cited", "we", "our") is operated by Aelio Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-registered company (UEN 202609174E). Aelio Pte. Ltd. is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
When you submit a form on this site — the contact form, the audit request form, the head-to-head comparison tool on /compare, or any onboarding questionnaire — we collect the information you enter. That typically includes:
We use this data to deliver what you asked for (a report, a reply, an audit) and, if relevant, to follow up about our services. We do not sell or rent this data to third parties.
We use Google Analytics 4 (property G-G037F6H4ZE) to understand how people find and use the site — page views, referrers, device type, rough geography, time on page. GA4 sets cookies in your browser and IP addresses are anonymised by default. We do not use GA4 to identify individual visitors.
Some pages on this site — in particular /compare, which we promote via Meta Ads — include the Meta Pixel (ID 918897731139622). The pixel lets us measure which ad clicks turn into tool runs and report submissions, and it lets Meta show relevant ads to similar audiences.
The pixel collects standard web analytics signals (page URL, referrer, browser, approximate location) plus custom events we fire — for example, when you start the comparison tool, view a result, or request a report. We do not pass raw email addresses, names, or phone numbers as custom event parameters.
We have Advanced Matching enabled on the pixel. When you submit your email through the comparison form, your browser hashes the email client-side using SHA-256 and sends the hashed value (not the plaintext) to Meta. Meta uses the hash to improve ad attribution. The plaintext email never leaves your browser for Meta.
You can opt out of Meta's ad personalisation in your Facebook ad settings or by using a browser that blocks tracking pixels.
Some forms use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to block automated submissions. reCAPTCHA analyses browser signals to score how likely a submission is to be a bot. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Our host (Hostinger) retains standard web server logs — IP address, request URL, timestamp, user agent — for a limited period to diagnose errors and defend against abuse.
Form submissions are stored in cloud tools we control and reviewed by a human at Cited, who replies by email. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
The third parties that actually run in your browser or receive data directly from it:
Some of these processors are based outside Singapore, which means personal information may be transferred internationally. We only work with processors that provide appropriate safeguards.
